As a Cleveland newborn photographer, I have had the pleasure of speaking to so many moms and dads about their time in Cleveland. Personally, I’m always looking for things to do in Cleveland. That got me thinking, maybe the parents visiting my page are too! So, I did some thinking (and a little asking around) and came up with five things to do in Cleveland (with or without your munchkins!)
Have a Cleveland Newborn Photography Session
One of the best activities (in my not at all biased opinion) is to find a Cleveland newborn photographer (aka…me!) and take some magical photos. While you’re in town, you might as well take advantage of this beautiful city and let me capture your little one on camera for you!
Even if your kiddo isn’t a newborn anymore, we can do milestone photos, sitter photos, even maternity photos if you’re expecting! Cleveland has so many beautiful outdoor spots that are great for maternity shoots and I have a studio for those adorable newborn shots.
Visit Some Cleveland Toy Stores
Alright, this ones for the kids, but as a Cleveland newborn photographer, that’s kind of my thing! I’ve had the pleasure of speaking to many parents about their favorite Cleveland activites. A popular response I get is actually visiting some Cleveland toy stores with their little ones. Some parents even opt to take their kids to these stores after their photoshoot with me, kind of as a reward. It’s a great way to keep siblings of the newborn calm and patient during photoshoots where they had to tag along!

Visit the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame
From adults to kids, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a MUST-SEE for the whole family. This museum is filled with original merchandise from the greatest musicians. It’s safe for kids to walk through and a great way to kill a few hours indoors.
I recommend visiting the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame after your Cleveland newborn photography session with me. You could also use it as motivation to keep siblings (and even partners) patient during sessions!
Check Out West Side Market
Another ideal spot to hit up before or after your Cleveland newborn photography session (or maternity session!) is West Side Market. This historic market is filled with dozens of delicious spots to eat and little shops to visit. Believe it or not, photography sessions, whether for kids or pregnant mamas, can be quite draining! You will likely be hungry afterwards and the West Side Market is guaranteed to have something for every pregnancy craving or hungry toddler!
Great Lakes Science Center
An incredible spot to take the kids for an afternoon, the Great Lakes Science Center is a hands-on, interactive science museum. It’s one of the absolute best things to do in Cleveland by far! You can check out this museum before or after your Cleveland newborn photography session with me. There are activities for kiddos of all ages and it’s an incredible way to get your newborn’s senses stimulated. Newborns are some of the most curious little beings, so they love the opportunity to see, touch, and hear new things!
Final Thoughts on Things to do in Cleveland
There are of course so many more activities you can do in Cleveland after your Cleveland newborn photography session. However, these are my top 5 recommendations from not only my experience, but the experience of several of my clients!
