Book Your Canton Ohio Newborn Photography Session Early

Newborn sessions are best scheduled while baby is still very young — typically within the first 7–14 days after birth when babies are sleepiest and easiest to pose.

Because I only book a limited number of sessions each month to give each family a calm experience, it’s best to reserve your newborn session during pregnancy.

Missed the cutoff? Don’t worry, I also accept older newborns! Having a baby although rewarding, comes with lots of trials, so if you are feeling to overwhelmed at the beginning, still reach out. These are moments you will regret missing.

Newborn Photography Tips: Keep Baby Comfortable and Sleepy

A full baby makes for a happy, sleepy newborn.

Try feeding your baby right before leaving for the studio or right when you arrive. This helps your little one relax and settle into those sweet, curled-up poses.

Don’t worry — there is always time built in for extra feedings and cuddles during your session.

Dress Baby Simply

Simple is best for newborn photography. Something that is button up so we don’t need to pull it over the babies head when changing baby to photography outfits. A simple sleeper from https://www.walmart.com/ or https://www.target.com/ will work perfectly!

I provide plenty of wraps, props, and accessories in the studio so you don’t need to bring outfits.

Relax — I’ll Guide the Entire Session

Many parents worry about their baby crying or not sleeping — but this is completely normal!

As a trained newborn photographer, I gently guide posing, soothing, and transitions while always putting your baby’s comfort and safety first.

Your job is simply to relax and enjoy watching your baby be photographed.

Newborn Photography Tips with Parents and Siblings

Some of the most cherished newborn photos include parents and siblings.

Neutral clothing, soft colors, and simple outfits photograph beautifully and keep attention on your growing family.

These moments often become favorites in your gallery.

Trust the Process

Every baby is different — and that’s part of what makes newborn photography so special.

Some babies sleep deeply, some prefer to be awake, and some need extra snuggles. No matter what, we’ll capture beautiful, meaningful images of your baby’s first days.
