Maternity photoshoots are a chance for mamas to connect with their little one, feel glamorous, and capture this short-live time in their life in a still frame! That little (or not so little…) baby bump is where this new chapter in your life begins and capturing that is something you don’t want to miss out on. Every photographer does maternity shoots a little bit differently. So, I want to talk to you mamas about how I run them as a Cleveland maternity photographer!
The Inquiry and Booking
After you’ve taken a look at the maternity investment page, it’s time to talk! Once you reach out to me, we’ll start playing a lovely game of email tag! We’ll chit chat back and forth about what you’re looking to get out of a maternity photoshoot with me. I’ll share some information about me, like how long I’ve been a Cleveland newborn and maternity photographer and share some examples of my work with you.
Once you’ve decided you’re ready to take the next steps, I’ll have you put down the $200 retainer to reserve a session spot!
During the inquiry, I’ll also go over my Bump to Baby Membership that you can book! These packages provide you with the ability to capture all of the most important milestones in your little one’s life up until their first birthday! For example, Collection II includes maternity, newborn, milestone, family, and a cake smash photo session. There are five options for this membership and only 12 spots available per year, so make sure to book early!
The Big Day!
On the day of your photoshoot, your only job is to get to the studio! That’s it. One of my favorite things about being a Cleveland maternity photographer is getting to my clients and getting them all glammed-up on the day of the shoot! That’s why I include a hair and makeup team with your maternity session. One hour prior to the shoot, you’ll arrive at the studio. During this hour, we get to know each other, get comfortable, laugh a little (or a lot!), and kind of settle in! Hair and makeup does their thing, and we get you into your first beautiful gown. I offer gowns for the shoot, but you are welcome to bring your own upon discussing it with me! We can also do both, it’s not one or the other.
Throughout the photoshoot, I am very hands on. I make sure you are posing beautifully, your hair is in the right place, the backdrop is set perfectly, I handle it all. Your job is to be there and connect with your little one! If your partner is with you and wants to be in the shots, by all means! This is your day and these are your photos. I want them to be exactly what you envision.
The Sneak Peak
I like to offer my clients sneak peaks of their photos. Typically, this is 1-3 days after the photoshoot. You’ll receive an email from me with 1-3 pictures that are fully edited so that you have an idea of what’s to come!
The Big Reveal of Your Cleveland Maternity Photography Session
Once I have soft edited all of the useable images from the photoshoot, it’s time for you to see them! This can be done in person or I can send you a link to your personal online gallery. You’ll take a look at all of your photos and then we’ll discuss which gallery collection you want. You can choose between receiving 6 photos, 12 photos, 18 photos, or the full gallery which is usually 30-35 pictures! You get to choose which pictures you want. This can be done in person, simply by telling me, or by hitting a small heart icon in your online gallery!
You get full print credit to all of the photos that you choose to keep in your gallery. I also include a print voucher to some of my clients pending the package purchased so be sure to ask about that! After all, these images deserve a place in your home, not just on your computer.
